The upcoming Oscars will be a bit different with the previous events. This time, the comic-book based movie earned total 11 nominations. Left alone that it is the film which receives most of the nominations, it is also the first one that received the most nominations. Joker is the most comic-based nominated movies in the Oscars 2020. The nominations would include the best picture, best actor, best director, as well as best adapted screenplay.

Joker film itself has the chance to win the Best Picture. Besides it, the other movies which have the chance to win the Best Picture are Jojo Rabbit, 1917, Ford v Ferrari, Little Women, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and Parasite.

There are three films which have 10 nominations. They are 1917, The Irishman, as well as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Then the rest of the films have six nominations. They are Jojo Rabbit, Marriage Story, Little Women, and Parasite. Little Women was the most glaring one.

The Academy has announced all of the nominees in the 24 categories. The members from each of the 17 branches vote to determine the nominees in the categories. That includes the actors nominated actors, film editors will nominate film editors and so on.

In other categories, you’d like to see the animated feature film as well as the international feature film categories. Back then, the party who selected the films based on the categories was the multi-branch screening committees. All voting members have the right to select the best picture nominees.

In the upcoming Oscars 2020, the event will go hostess. That means it will happen for the second year in a row. The ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke made the announcement a few weeks ago that the Oscars would once again go hostless. As we know, the previous edition of the Oscars was successful although no host was holding the event. Instead, the mini hosts bring up the nominations and the winners. Burke also stated that together with the Academy, the big event won’t likely run with the host. Back then, folks still have hopes that there was still a possibility that the host would come up. But it wouldn’t happen at all. The entertainment have confirmed that there was no possibility that the host would come up.

Anyway, let’s see the list of nominations.
